This is a wonderful opportunity to share my work on Elsie with my home town of Thunder Bay! Elsie, who worked at Canadian Car and Foundry (now Bombardier) as the Chief Aeronautical Engineer during the Second World War has wonderful historical ties to the city. As for me, even after she left Fort William in 1943 the she maintained contact with friends and family and an active interest in the region - in her records she has the announcement of the creation of the City of Thunder Bay!
Many thanks to Drs. Michel S. Beaulieu and Ron Harpelle for helping to get this launch off the ground!
